OPPO F1S: #FEEDGOALS

If you want to stand out on Instagram, a creative and consistent theme is a must!  I didn’t start to see traffic pick up on my account until I started sticking with a theme over a year ago.  Many top Instagrammers have developed their own style of visually pleasing imagery that just begs you to click “follow”.

So, how can you do the same? Here are some tips!

DECIDE ON A COLOR SCHEME!

The first thing you should think about is the overall color scheme you’d like to work with and this is will be your guide for your feed theme. This is probably one of the most important aspects of creating your own unique Instagram theme because color sets the tone for your whole feed.  With the @ayenypyc instagram feed, I wanted to keep things look white and bright.  There are so many awesome users who have adopted their own color schemes ranging from whites to pastel tones to bright and bold colors. I also look up to some inspiration with other bloggers' white theme feed.

KEEP YOUR BACKGROUND COLORS OR TONES CONSISTENT!

If you’re thinking about shooting a lot of in-studio type photos, keeping your background colors or tones consistent will be key.  For my own feed, I use white backgrounds ranging from pure white table tops, to bed sheets, to white walls. Just maintain these kind of photos and automatically your feed will turn better.

THINK WHAT TO POST!

There's a lot of things that you can post on Instagram. You can take photos of Selfies, Fashion, Food, Travel, Flat lays, or even your Feet. Just make sure when your taking photos you will still mind what your theme so that you will not ruin your feed.

TAKE YOUR PHOTOS UNDER THE SAME LIGHT!

Lighting can have a big impact on the look of your photos and feed. If you’re taking photos inside a your house, try to use studio lights. If you’re using window light or natural light, try taking your photos at the same time each day.

CHOOSE EDITING APPS THAT COMPLETES YOUR LOOK!

There is a ton of editing software/apps available to complete your look.  You can use Lightroom or Photoshop on your computer, or download some apps on your phone… my personal favourites being VSCO and Facetune.  I recommend playing around with the settings and filters to achieve a look that you like and one that would be easy to replicate on all of your future photos.

With your chosen editing program, experiment with different techniques to develop your own “signature style”.  This should be a sequence that you can apply to all of your photos rather easily once you map it out. With my own photos, I consistently bump up all of the whites and brightness, tone down the saturation a bit, and lighten up any shadows before sharpening things slightly. There may be a predefined filter that speaks to you, so try those as well!

REMEMBER, YOU DON'T HAVE TO SHARE EVERYTHING!

Always keep in mind that you don’t have to share every single photo you take. When creating a consistent Instagram theme, quality is better over quantity!  Share only those photos that mesh with your feed well and you’ll be well on your way to creating a stunning profile!

CHOOSE A GREAT GADGET!

Of course lastly, to follow those tips above you will need a great phone to capture your photos. And guess what? Oppo have what we need! Because of its more improved camera you can now take natural-looking selfies even in low-light conditions. No more worries of filters because Oppo F1s also have it all. It's also easy to take wide-angle photos with your friends. It's truly a #SelfieExpert!
